About

A career built around people, judgment, and sustainable engineering culture.

I've spent over a decade building and leading engineering teams that don't just ship products, they create lasting impact. My journey has taught me that the most transformative outcomes emerge when you combine technical excellence with deep empathy for people and a willingness to question everything.

As a leader, I believe in creating environments where engineers thrive not by following playbooks, but by thinking independently, challenging assumptions, and growing into their full potential. I've mentored dozens of engineers, from junior developers finding their voice to senior leaders navigating complex organizational dynamics.

What energizes me most are the deep conversations: the kind where we dissect complex problems, explore unconventional solutions, and push each other's thinking. Whether it's system architecture, team dynamics, or the intersection of technology and business strategy, I thrive in spaces where intellectual curiosity meets real-world impact.

I'm drawn to problems that don't have obvious answers. I'm comfortable with ambiguity, passionate about continuous learning, and deeply committed to building not just great software, but great teams and sustainable engineering cultures.

Leadership areas

How the work shows up.

A practical leadership system: make the work visible, improve the feedback loops, and help teams use new tools without losing engineering judgment.

01

Engineering Leadership

Building high-performing teams through empowerment, clarity of vision, and creating environments where engineers do their best work.

02

Mentorship & Team Growth

Developing people through thoughtful coaching, honest feedback, and creating pathways for engineers to reach their next level.

03

Outcome-Driven Delivery

Moving beyond outputs to focus on measurable impact by shipping features that solve real problems and drive business results.

04

Challenging the Status Quo

Questioning assumptions, exploring unconventional approaches, and creating space for teams to think differently about hard problems.

05

Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving

Connecting technical decisions to business outcomes, seeing around corners, and architecting solutions that scale with organizational growth.

06

Culture, Quality & Sustainability

Building engineering cultures that value craftsmanship, maintainability, and long-term thinking over quick wins.

AI-assisted delivery

Using AI to sharpen engineering judgment, not replace it.

This is the emerging part of my work: turning AI from a side experiment into a practical operating habit for delivery teams, with boundaries, measurement, and human accountability.

Current focus

The opportunity is not simply faster code. It is a better engineering system: clearer discovery, tighter feedback loops, stronger quality discipline, and more visible delivery health.

At PMC, this connects naturally to the broader delivery engine: measure everything, improve release predictability, shift quality left, and help teams adopt AI tools in a way that is useful, safe, and measurable.

Tool adoption with purpose

AI tools should help teams reason, review, test, document, and unblock work; not create noise or bypass accountability.

Measured, not magical

The value should show up in delivery visibility, quality signals, regression confidence, and team learning, not only in anecdotes.

Boundaries before scale

Responsible adoption needs clear expectations: what AI can assist, where human review is mandatory, and what should not be delegated.

01 / Observe

Find repeated friction in delivery, quality, documentation, review, and reporting.

02 / Pilot

Test AI-assisted workflows with a contained team or process before broad rollout.

03 / Measure

Look for impact in predictability, defect leakage, review quality, and learning speed.

04 / Govern

Scale only after the workflow has practical guardrails and clear human ownership.

2025 – Present

Head of Solutions Engineering · PMC

Scaling Impact

When I stepped into the role of Head of Solutions Engineering at PMC, my mission was clear. I wasn't just there to manage a department; I was there to build a high-performance delivery engine.

  • Built a high-performance delivery engine by instilling a 'Measure Everything' culture and rigorous Scrum practices.
  • Pioneered a 'Shift-Left' strategy and built a robust Regression Testing framework, significantly scaling automation coverage.
  • Transformed engineering workflow into a predictable cadence using data-backed reporting and release planning.
  • Established a Reward and Recognition program to drive sustainable engineering culture and team pride.
2022 – 2024

Associate Director / Associate Principal – Mobile Architecture · Bounteous

Scaling Impact

At Bounteous, my role was a constant balancing act between complex technical architecture and strategic customer engagement.

  • Led technical strategy and co-innovation for major brands including Shake Shack, Texas Roadhouse, AirMiles, and University of Phoenix.
  • Bridged business strategy and technical architecture to deliver high-impact solutions for complex client needs.
  • Mentored and coached diverse local and offshore development teams while maintaining high quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborated daily with Product Managers and Scrum Masters to ensure alignment and outcome-driven delivery.
2019 – 2022

Mobile Architect → Software Engineering Manager · Onlia

Building from Ground Zero

Joining Onlia during a pivotal transition, I bridged the gap between an offshore Slovakian team and an in-house startup vision.

  • Managed the strategic transition of development from offshore teams to a fully in-house engineering department.
  • Built and mentored a high-performing cross-functional team of developers, QA specialists, and UI designers.
  • Spearheaded Azure-based architectural enhancements that resulted in significant cost savings and new business growth.
  • Established standardized engineering best practices and processes as Engineering Manager to sustain quality and velocity.
2016 – 2019

Principal / Lead Mobile Developer → Software Engineering Manager · West Corporation

Building Foundations

My time at West began with building roots in a new market as a Senior Software Engineer, quickly leading to a promotion to Principal Engineer.

  • Owned technical health and architectural modernization for large-scale mobile applications serving millions of users across North America.
  • Led and modernized legacy Swift and Kotlin codebases into a cutting-edge platform with improved performance and stability.
  • Managed distributed teams across the USA and offshore locations, ensuring high-quality delivery for mission-critical products.
  • Developed a people-first leadership mindset, focusing on team growth and well-being to drive product impact.
2013 – 2016

Senior Software Engineer → Module Lead → Team Lead · PMC

Early Experiments

I started my journey at PMC as an individual contributor and left as a team lead. I delivered the Store Enabler product and POS SDKs.

  • Progressed from individual contributor to leading mobile development teams.
  • Delivered the Store Enabler product and SDKs for retail POS functionality (Pay, Scan, Print).
  • Owned delivery, technical decisions, and team coordination across client engagements.
2012 – 2014

Gemalto | BlackBerry | Tamaggo · Mobile Engineering Roles

Early Experiments

This early phase was about variety and fundamentals: encrypted financial apps with NFC, Mac desktop experiences for BlackBerry, and cross-platform mobile work.

  • Built encrypted mobile financial services applications with NFC workflows.
  • Developed Mac desktop experiences integrated with BB10 Link.
  • Worked across iOS, Android, and Flash to deliver cross-platform mobile apps.
  • Gained experience in platform fundamentals, security, and performance tuning.
